1. Slow Start:
1. Warm up at your own pace. Ignore your surroundings. Only you know your own body so take a deep breathe and do everything step by step so you don`t get injured!
2. Advanced Defensive mind set:
a) Hit standard shots and let them hit anything they want. When they hit their best shot you must punish them mentally by crushing their best weapon. Only hit 100% on shots that you need to! aka. off balance shots / on the dead run!
b) Don`t let hit anything comfortably. Abuse their weak spots until they don`t even want to play you anymore. Show no mercy.
3. Discipline:
Leave your feelings at home. Come on the courts with the mentality to improve and to win. A point is a point no matter how you win it. Cherish it. You are not allowed to say “It`s just a bad day” until you`ve tried everything to fix your mistakes. Go back to your neutral point! Play aiming for your 200% so even if you don`t reach your goal you can come close at 180%. If you practice 200% you`re one step closer to playing in an official game at 100%.
4. Stamina:
Get in the zone. Pry open the door to your energy and abuse it. You can afford to be tired at home not at the courts. Play to live. If you lose you die.
5. Smile:
In the end you started the sport because you loved it and you still love it. Cherish those amazing points and rallies and all the experiences you make on the way. It`s okay to get mad or sad sometimes but step away from those mistakes and losses to learn from them! Just have fun. But still win all the time :D!
